
Frank Wagner
Frank has been a recognized thought leader in the field of compensation for nearly four decades. Currently, Frank is the Vice President of Total Rewards at Cloudflare, which he joined last year. Prior to his current role, he built and led the Google Compensation team for 17 years, helping Google earn a reputation for innovative Compensation designs. Under his leadership, the Google compensation team has been recognized for its leading edge efforts, both inside the Company and externally.
Before Google, Frank was a partner with Hewitt Associates, where he was a consultant and compensation subject matter expert on Executive, Broad-based, and Sales Compensation design.
In developing compensation designs, he bases decisions and recommendations on principles and data - attraction and retention statistics, employee surveys (including conjoint studies), and analysis of factors affecting employee engagement and satisfaction.
Frank holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. He's a fitness buff and regular exerciser, due to his passion for good food and wine. He’s also been known to bring a few bottles of wine to share if he’s invited to dinner!
